ABOUT / PIERRE OSCAR BRUNET
Visual culture,
motion and systems.
Pierre Oscar Brunet is a Paris-based art director, motion systems designer and visual artist.
He initially trained in printmaking at École Estienne before studying at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, graduating in 2015. His artistic practice developed through print, installation and experimental film, with research connected to Finland, landscape, light and perception. His work was presented at the Salon de Montrouge in 2018.
His relationship with moving images progressively expanded into graphic and motion design. From 2020 to 2025, he worked within BFMTV / NextInteractive, developing digital identities, editorial illustration, motion graphics and visual production systems.
His current work focuses on editorial motion systems: translating visual identities into reusable tools for video production. Recent collaborations include LCP — Assemblée nationale, HuffPost, Courrier International and Têtu.connect.
POSITION / FUTURE JOURNALISM
Designing the tools through which tomorrow’s journalism becomes visible.
I explore new modes of creation to build tools that help journalists express information visually.
Digital platforms are not neutral containers. Mobile, social, web and real-time formats are becoming the primary spaces in which information is encountered. Each needs visual codes designed for its pace, scale and mode of attention.
The challenge is to turn those codes into reliable editorial systems: clear enough to protect hierarchy and sources, flexible enough to respond to events, and simple enough to be used every day by journalists and editors.
